What is Love?
Is it something we want but don't have?
Is love really that feeling that we get in the pit of our stomach
That we enjoy so much
Or the feel of heart break
Is it the new jeans that fit so perfectly at first?
But soon loosen after time
Or the desperate need for affection
What truly is Love?
Is it the true longing for companionship
Or the thought of it?
Is love at first site really true?
Or is it something that we are taught at a young age from all the countless Disney movies
Are we really to believe that some "prince" will lift off our feet
That's not Love
What is
We are in Love with the idea of Love
Not it's true meaning
Hoping that it will just happen
It's what we want to happen
What we want is to be in a Romance Novel
What we want is to be swept off our feet
By our "prince"
Well
There is no such thing as a "prince"
All that " prince" is
Is a Fake non-realistic idea of what we think Love is
What we truly want
What we know will never happen
Love is that knife digging deeper and deeper into our hearts
We want so desperately to stop
But it keeps digging deeper and deeper than before
Then when it finally goes away
We feel that "Love" thing again
And it starts all over again
This isn't Love
But if this isn't Love
What is it
No One Knows

But the voice of truth tells me a different story
And the voice of truth says "Do not be afraid!"
And the voice of truth says "This is for My glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth
